Sridevi is back to being the talk of the town after her film Mom was critically appreciated as well as loved by her fans. Sridevi’s Mr. India remake has been in rumors for a long time now. Boney Kapoor had even confirmed saying that Mr. India 2 was on the cards.

But when recently Sridevi was asked about which film she thinks will make a good remake now, the diva said, “I think Chalbaaz will make for a great remake now,” When further asked about who would be the most appropriate one to portray her role, Sridevi answered, “Alia would fit the role perfectly. She is spontaneous and an extremely natural actor. She can look vulnerable, innocent and at the same time, she can be smart and mischievous too,”

Similary when Alia was asked about essaying a role of Sridevi from any of her films, she stated that, “I would love to do Sridevi’s role from Mr India. I love that film and I think everyone does. It’s been three decades since Mr India released, but it still is a crowd favourite. If you ask me about remakes, this is one film I would love to do,”
Well, we are high on hope both ways. And for now, Alia is busy with Meghna Gulzar’s next, Raazi which stars her opposite Vicky Kaushal. Also, Alia will be seen along side Ranveer Singh in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boys and opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Dragon.
