Akshay Kumar, who is making waves with the promos of his cause based film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and has started shooting for Reema Kagti’s period sports drama Gold as well as Padman, which is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who invented a low-cost sanitary pad making machine has been approached to be a judge on a TV show.
According to Mumbai Mirror, the action star will be the super judge on the comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.
Said a source close to the deed, Once Akshay is done with the international shoot of Gold, his comedy show will replace Remo D’Souza’s Dance Plus 3 on Star Plus as its format is somewhat similar to the talent hunt show which is on air currently.
Besides Akshay it has three popular comedians playing mentors to the contestants but he will have the final say on who goes ahead in the competition.
Discussions are on with leading comedians who will play mentors but no names have been finalised yet.”
